Don and Gary Handley are consulting foresters who
serve landowners in South and North Carolina. The Handley's
are well-known for promoting and utilizing uneven age forestry
management techniques.
Don Handley, founder of Handley Forestry Services, has
been practicing forestry for over 50 years. He received his
forestry degree from Arkansas A&M University. He is active in
various forestry and stewardship organizations and presents workshops in
forest management.
The Handley's provide a variety of services including a free land exam
and initial management recommendations, timber sales, management plans,
timber stand improvement, reforestation, land sales, or purchases and
appraisals.
The practice of forestry has been defined in many ways. The preferred
definition, and the one Handley Forestry Services has built their services
around, recognizes forestry as science, art, and business.
